The Gel Lyte 3 ‘Kobe Beef’ features inspiration from one of the most prized meats in the culinary world. Releasing for the 30th anniversary of the silhouette, the shoe features a leather construction on the upper, finished almost entirely in Sakura. The heels sport ‘1990’ across the construction as a nod to the debut of the silhouette, while Japanese characters are debossed on the lateral side. The Gel midsole underfoot gives way to an outsole that reveals butcher shop-style breakdowns of the shoe.
