The AFEW x ASICS Gel Lyte 3 ‘Beauty of Imperfection’ is the refined product of the long-standing partnership between ASICS and the Düsseldorf-based retailer. Inspired by wabi-sabi aesthetics, which favor the acceptance of imperfection, the classic running shoe is delivered in an elegant array of soft hues. The upper in pale grey suede is overlaid with fade-away Tiger stripes in Seagrass which will diminish over time. The split heel overlay in violet textile and suede is accented by ‘AFEW’ branding on the lateral right alongside ‘wabi-sabi’ on the back heel. A cork sockliner shares additional salutes to the artistic sensibility that inspired this sneaker’s design.
